Poetry in the streets

Dutch poems can be spotted throughout the city of Den Bosch. With my mother language, Afrikaans, being derived from Dutch, I was able to appreciate some of the poems. It is a wonderful initiative, and the poetry contributes to the magical air of the place. There are even poems carved into the stones on the walls of the channels. My favourite poem was spotted in the bathroom of a bar: Geweld eindigt waar liefde begint. It translates as : ‘Violence ends where love begins’.
